Need help finding nice tea set for AG

I don't know if you have a Dollar Tree store near you but, I just bought one there last week for $1.00!!!!

They are made out of some type of china like material. Not plastic!

It only has two cups so you'd have to buy more than one set for multiple dollies but, the price rocks!!!

The scale is right too!

They also have a even smaller set that is about right for fashion dolls and mini AG dolls for the same price!

My daughter who is 8 wanted one that we found on ebay so she paid for me to buy it for about 15.00 shipped. It is the perfect size for her dolls and has a pretty rose design on it. It's porcelain. If you want to know which one it is pm me and I'll tell you what to search for. She's had so much fun having tea parties with her dolls. It works much better than the barbie sized one she was using.

If you have an IKEA nearby, you might want to have a look at their Duktig tea set. If it's too plain, you could paint it with porcelain paints, which you dry in the oven.

I've seen them in a bunch of places- high end toy shops, gift shops and also Marshalls.

I was just about to say this!They were really nice. I went 2 hours away on Saturday and they had it and it was really nice!I couldn't believe it. The plates were pink. It came with plates, saucers and something else I can't remember. I almost bought it but then i decided not to because I have Felicity's Tea Set.

Hi Everybody,

I would like to buy a cute china tea set of some sort to go along with Samanthas table and chairs. The reason I don't get AG is because it's for my daughters 7th bday and she's not responsible enough to take care something that expensive. I can imagine her leaving it all on the floor for the dog to chew, or even dragging it outside to play and leaving it out there.

I'm looking for something that is ceramic or china of some sort rather than plastic, but one thats cheaper say not to exceed $20. Just wondering if you all have seen anything out there thats the right size? I'm searching online right now but it's hard to tell if the sets are too small or too large.

Thanks for you help and ideas! Love this board!

I know there are people on this board who can figure out proper scale, which I can't do! But I wanted to mention that I bought each of my daughter's porcelain tea sets by Schylling at TJ Maxx to use for regular play with their dolls (neither of them have AG tea sets, but I have Felicity's hot chocolate and party sets, and we play with these on special occasions). Each set was about $7.00, and they had different themes and slightly different sizes available when I was there. I went with an old-fashioned Barbie silhouette design for DD7 (for her Kailey doll) and a ladybug design for DD5 (for Kit). I think I also went for sets that seemed smaller in scale, as some of them seemed to have larger pieces.
Tuesday Morning is another good place for the Schylling tea sets.
We've been really happy with ours! Good Luck in your search.

edited to add: I know they had a pretty pink flower pattern available that would be nice for Samantha; I would have gotten that if DD5 wasn't so enchanted by ladybugs! I also wanted to say that the tea-cups with these sets are very similar in size to the teacups that came with my Felicity set.
